14001 environmental certification: Bell reinforces commitment to sustainability

Bell EMEA has been certified to the international environmental management standard ISO 14001. The company’s dedication to reducing its environmental impact confirms its long-term commitment to environmentally friendly and sustainable business processes.

With ISO 14001 certification, we are strengthening the structures and standards of our environmental management system to better manage and minimise potential environmental impacts in our core processes.

Holger Wetzler, Managing Director

The decision to undergo the ISO 14001 certification process is the formal manifestation of Bell’s long-established environmental management activities. Thanks to the structured documentation in accordance with the standard, the goals set will now be pursued and tracked even more consistently.

Measures and goals

How we reduce our environmental impact
  • Reduction of potable water, electricity and fuel oil consumption per production unit
  • Reduction of waste per production unit
  • Minimise complaints from local residents
  • Regular maintenance of systems to avoid line losses and installation of additional meters to accurately record consumption

The certification covers the development, production and distribution of flavours, fragrances, plant extracts and ingredient specialities.
